1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Houserite ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

Houserite is a digital real estate marketplace that connects property owners, renters, and buyers. We provide a platform for listing, browsing, and transacting residential properties in Nigeria.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Listings and Property Information

All property listings must be accurate, honest, and comply with all applicable laws. Houserite reserves the right to remove any listings that violate our policies or contain false information.

5. Commission Structure

Rental Transactions: 50% of first month's rent as commission
Sales Transactions: 1% of total property value as commission
Commission is due upon successful transaction completion

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use Houserite for:

Illegal activities or fraud
Posting false, misleading, or defamatory information
Harassment or discrimination
Violating intellectual property rights
Spamming or phishing
Attempting to gain unauthorized access

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on Houserite, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Houserite or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

Houserite is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Houserite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Houserite and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, or loss arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

Houserite reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including if you breach the Terms of Service.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

12. Modifications to Terms

Houserite reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service following modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
